We remain stuck in a stagnant weather pattern with high pressure overhead in no hurry to exit the region. This will lead to above-normal temperatures through the weekend with some cooling finally expected next week! Expect mostly clear skies this evening with area of haze and light winds as lows cool to the 40's. Little change for the weekend as daytime highs hover around 80 degrees with overnight lows in the 40's, southwest winds continuing 5-10 at times. High pressure will finally start to buckle next week as a trough deepens off the west coast bringing a gradual cool down. Highs will drop back into the 70's, a little closer to normal as our forecast remains dry for now. We experience a large CME (Solar Flare) which could produce a viewing of the Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights over the next few nights looking north. The best opportunity will likely be Friday and Saturday nights, if at all, you never know if it will materialize this far south until it does.
Good progress continues on the Line Fire with areas of have & drift smoke possible at times in the coming days and weeks as pockets of fuel burn off within the fire's perimeter. All Evacuation Warnings have been lifted for the Big Bear Valley, Order reduced to a Warning for Angelus Oaks, Seven Oaks/Barton Flats still under an Order.
